Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz/100 g rice waffles
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1.5 tsp marmite
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1.5 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp MSG
  • dash of liquid smoke
  • 12 oz/350 ml warm water or vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp softened vegan butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • salt, pepper

Instructions

  1. Crumble rice waffles into a bowl. Add tomato paste, marmite, nutritional yeast, onion and garlic powder, msg, liquid smoke, water or broth, and a large pinch of salt and pepper.
  2. Mix well together, until rice waffle pieces are completely soaked and everything is well combined.
  3. Add softened butter and diced onion, taste, and add more salt and pepper or spices, if needed.
  4. You can serve immediately, but Vegan Mett is best if placed in the fridge for a couple of hours before serving. Enjoy!
